- Create Documents Easily Modified: When designing your card, try to make it so that if there are small modifications and changes it won't make a huge difference to the way it looks and elements won't need to be re-arranged entirely. This will make it a pain-free transition when you need to update that email address of yours
- Request Access to your Native Art Files: Whether it's a .jpg, .png, or .pdf, make sure you have the original artwork files so that you don't have to track down the original designer or company that did it for you.
- Review Your Materials Regularly: This is a very simple step. Before any tradeshow, meeting, or client gathering, look over your card and make sure that it's still up-to-date. You may be surprised that you forgot the small changes in your phone number, email address, or twitter handle.
