Does Seth Godin have a Remarkable Business Card?

Written by Nate | Apr 23, 2013 6:00:00 PM

We all need a few minutes throughout the day to take our mind off of work, grab a snack, and tune out for a few minutes. At Plastic Printers, we want to give your time out a little extra brain power by giving you weekly tips on videos that inspire us. This week, we’re watching a fantastic TED talk from chief idea spreader Seth Godin.

Is Your Business Card A Purple Cow?

To paraphrase a great music quote—if you’ve seen a Seth Godin speech before, you’re a fan. If you haven’t, you will be. The author of bestsellers “Tribes”, “Purple Cow”, and “Linchpin” (among others) is a champion of finding great ideas and using unique methods to bring them to the world. In this 2003 TED talk, Seth sets forward the new rules of marketing and why remarkable ideas work.

A big thing to keep in mind is that this talk was recorded in February 2003—well before the rise of social media. It’s eerily prescient, and incredibly fun to watch.  If there ever was a great connection between hot sauce, soy milk, topiary, and architecture—it’s this video! Take some time with your lunch and get inspired.

Love The Talk?

I strongly recommend signing up for the mailing list on Seth's blog which can be found here. He sends out great, thought provoking posts every morning that inspire, challenge, and force you to take a step back and look at what you're doing with your life.
