While some businesses choose to emphasize their logo, slogan or type of business by incorporating dramatic clear elements, completely clear business cards are easily the most sought after option. The WOW factor when handing someone a clear business card who has never seen a fully-transparent card before is unforgettable.

Some clients prefer translucent accents. This can be particularly striking when a business uses a clear element to emphasize what they do as a company. For one of our clients, Clearview Property Services, we created a die-cut business card that look like one of their service vans, with a clear square used as the windshield.

Frosted business cards are another variation of the clear business card. A frosted card has a matte look and feel, which makes the card feel more premium. A frosted card works really well for businesses who want to exude professionalism -or- creativity & style.

Frosted business cards are most effective with a colorful design scheme. Colors on a frosted card are much more vivid than on a clear card – reds and blues really pop out from a frosted background! You can even frost in color, just like our client InTéléSoft Back Office.

Another way to stand out is to incorporate both frosted -and- clear elements together. A great example of this is an optometrist who used clear elements to depict eyeglass lenses, along with a frosted look to showcase high quality and elegance.
